About Artist:

Harry Dollard | Age 3.5

In February 2012, Harry suffered a severe traumatic brain injury at the age of just 11 months. After life-saving surgery by the extraordinary medical team at Women's and Children's Hospital, Harry's long journey of healing began. He spent 2 weeks on a ventilator in PICU and, once stable enough, was moved to Newland Ward where he spent a further 3 months as an in-patient. During this time he was in and out of theatre and PICU dealing with numerous complications as a result of his injury, but he slowly grew stronger and more alert.

Following Harry's discharge, we were then part of the Paediatric Rehabilitation Department's ambulatory program and received daily intensive therapy at WCH for a further 4 months!

Harry is now a bright, happy and delightful 2 year old with Cerebral Palsy, as a result of his brain injury, who continually amazes and delights us with his determination and love for life.

We continue to visit the Women's and Children's Hospital for various clinics and treatments and will forever be grateful to all the wonderful staff there for their expertise, support and care of our beautiful Harry.
